1. About Suddi

Suddi ಸುದ್ದಿ ("the App") is a Kannada news aggregator developed and operated by Suddi App ("we", "us", "our"). The App aggregates publicly available news content from Kannada news publishers and presents it in a convenient format for Kannada-speaking users.

2. Content, Copyright and Attribution

All news content displayed in Suddi ಸುದ್ದಿ — including headlines, summaries, and images — belongs to their respective publishers and copyright holders. Suddi does not claim ownership of any news content whatsoever.

• News content is sourced exclusively from publicly available RSS feeds published by Kannada news organisations including Prajavani, Kannada Prabha, TV9 Kannada, and Google News Kannada.
• All content is clearly attributed to the original source on every story card within the App.
• Every story includes a direct link to the full article on the original publisher's website.
• Suddi does not reproduce full articles — only headlines and brief summaries as published in RSS feeds are stored and displayed.
• Tapping any news story opens the original publisher's website — publishers receive all traffic, ad revenue, and engagement from full article reads.
• Images are sourced from publisher RSS feeds. If any publisher wishes their images to not be displayed, we will comply immediately upon request.

3. Content Takedown and Publisher Rights

We deeply respect the rights of all publishers and content creators. If you are a publisher, rights holder, or their authorised representative and wish to have your content removed from our App, we will honour your request promptly.

To submit a takedown request:

• Email: contact@suddi.app
• Include the name of your publication and the specific content to be removed
• Include your name, title, and your relationship to the rights holder
• For full RSS feed removal, please state this clearly in your request

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and take corrective action within 7 business days. For urgent matters, please mention "URGENT TAKEDOWN" in the email subject line.

We also welcome publishers who wish to partner with Suddi for official content distribution. Please reach out at the same email address.

4. RSS Feeds and Fair Use

Suddi aggregates content from publicly available RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds. RSS feeds are a standard web technology that publishers use to distribute their content to third-party readers and aggregators. By publishing an RSS feed, publishers make their content available for aggregation under standard internet practices.

Our use of RSS content is consistent with fair use principles:

• We display only headlines and brief summaries — not full articles
• Our App drives traffic to publisher websites — it is transformative and supplementary, not a substitute for the original
• We provide clear source attribution on every piece of content
• We do not monetise publisher content directly

If any publisher believes our use of their RSS feed is not consistent with their terms, we request they contact us and we will immediately remove their feed.

6. Use of the App

You may use Suddi ಸುದ್ದಿ for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the App
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the App
• Misrepresent news content shared from the App
• Share content in a way that removes attribution to the original publisher

6. Sharing Features

The App allows you to share news headlines, summaries, and Stories posts to other apps and platforms. When sharing:

• News content is shared with attribution to Suddi App and a link to the source
• Stories images may be saved to your device gallery to enable sharing
• You are responsible for how you use and share content from the App

7. Push Notifications

The App may send push notifications for breaking news and morning briefings. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. We do not send promotional or advertising notifications.

8. Accuracy of Content

Suddi ಸುದ್ದಿ is an aggregator and does not verify, edit, or endorse the accuracy of news content from third-party publishers. The views and opinions expressed in news articles belong to the original publishers and do not represent the views of Suddi App.

We are not responsible for any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the content provided by third-party publishers.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the App available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

10. Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party websites (original news articles). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those external websites. Visiting them is at your own discretion.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Suddi ಸುದ್ದಿ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or free of viruses. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Suddi App shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or reliance on content displayed therein.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Karnataka, India.
